A neighbourhood coffee bar with two of you on the floor and regulars who order the same thing every day. The roster goes out a month ahead and shifts are swapped in the group chat, so exams and weekends away are easy to plan around.

You open the bar before the doors do: grinder dialled in, milk stocked, pastries out, first pot of filter on. Through the morning you make coffee to spec, take orders at the counter and on the app, and split the bar and the till with your colleague as the rush needs it.

You stay calm with a queue in front of you and keep it moving without making anyone feel rushed. Weekend mornings, Dutch or French, and enough patience to learn the machine — we train you on it.
